The chassis and body work of this Defender are incredibly solid after being stripped and rebuilt with new panels during the restoration, including a new galvanised bulkhead, front and rear wings and doors. The exterior has been professionally resprayed in a light slate blue, which is in excellent condition and perfectly suits the style this Defender carries. The underneath has also had a full Waxoyl coating to support longevity.
The exterior is completed with the addition of a black canvas hood which is in as new condition; the door tops can also be removed for the full open-top Land Rover experience. LED lighting has been fitted to both the front and rear.
This defender rides on a set of 16” freshly painted black steel wheels, all of which are carrying new BF Goodrich Mud-Terrain T/A tyres.
The impressive condition continues inside the car with the open style appearance revealing the excellent paintwork throughout. New black leather heated seats have been fitted which are immaculate. The cabin has also been enhanced to allow the front seats to be adjusted further back than standard, providing taller drivers and passengers with more leg room and comfort. All electrical elements are in perfect working order.
Moving into the rear, there is rubber matting on the floor and drop-down bench seats fitted on both sides, each with two anchored lap seat belts providing additional safety for any passengers.
Under the bonnet is a 2.5-litre turbocharged TD5 Diesel engine, delivering its power to all four wheels through a five-speed manual gearbox. Mechanically this defender was last serviced following the completion of the restoration 12 months ago and has covered very low mileage since. The vendor reports there are no mechanical or electrical faults and no warning lights displayed on the dashboard.
