Description
The Aston Martin Vantage AMR was released as a track-focused variant of the regular Vantage, replacing that model’s ZF eight-speed automatic gearbox with a Graziano-designed dog-leg seven-speed manual gearbox. Only 200 units were produced, and they were also fitted with forged 20-inch wheels, a sports exhaust with quad tailpipes, and racing seats.
This is example no.1, meaning it was the very first Vantage AMR V8 to roll off the production line in February 2020, before coming across to Jersey in December 2021 where it has remained since.
Exploring the exterior, the sabiro blue metallic paintwork is in excellent condition and shows incredible depth when the sun hits it. The racing pedigree of this Aston Martin is further enhanced with carbon-fibre side vents and cooling vents, with further carbon fibre elements to both the front, rear and the bonnet; all providing additional weight saving. The matt-grey 20-inch alloy wheels complete the exterior aesthetic, with only one rear wheel showing a small scuff mark. Providing the stopping power behind the wheels are bright yellow brake callipers and ceramic brake discs.
Moving inside, the cabin is trimmed in black leather and Alcantra, completed with carbon fibre inlays. The two electrically adjustable, heated and ventilated seats are in excellent condition with little sign of wear; both feature ‘AMR’ stitched into the padding. Equipment includes front and rear parking assistance with cameras, cruise control, climate control, and a central infotainment system with satellite navigation.
Under the bonnet is a twin-turbocharged 4.0 litre V8 engine which delivers 510bhp to the rear wheels through a seven-speed manual, dog-leg gearbox. It’s a combination which propels the Vantage AMR to 60mph in under 4 seconds and onwards to a top speed of 200mph!
