Starting bid: £0.00

Produced from 1962 to 1964, the Massey Ferguson 35X Multi-Power is widely regarded as one of the most successful tractors of its era — but this is no ordinary agricultural machine. This particular 35X has been professionally restored to an outstanding standard, and it’s easy to see why these tractors are such sought-after collectible classics.

Description

A Jersey tractor from new, this Massey Ferguson 35X has had only three owners since October 1963. It is powered by a Perkins 2.5-litre 44.5bhp, 3-cylinder diesel engine, with just 28 hours of use since a professional restoration completed in 2020.

The 35X model was considered the higher-specification variant of the standard MF 35. Key upgrades included the 2.5-litre Perkins engine and the Multi-Power gearbox, offering 12 forward and 4 reverse gears with on-the-move shifting between high and low ranges — a notable innovation at the time.

The exterior panels are flawlessly presented in traditional Massey Ferguson red with grey detailing, clearly reflecting the care and attention devoted during the restoration. Both the front and rear wheels are finished in grey and match the overall theme in immaculate condition. The tyres appear as-new, as expected with such limited use.

The single sprung driver’s seat has been refurbished in grey leather and shows no blemishes or signs of wear.

The engine, suspension components, and underside of this 35X are equally pristine. The vendor reports no mechanical or electrical faults, and all dials and associated elements are fully operational. It starts without hesitation and runs perfectly.

It’s rare to find a classic Massey Ferguson that has undergone such a high-level restoration with no expense spared — especially the more sought-after 35X Multi-Power model. In fact, this is quite possibly the finest example we’ve encountered to date. This tractor stands ready to be enjoyed on a dry day or saved for summer agricultural shows and displays, where its showroom condition will undoubtedly make it a main attraction. A true collectible classic.
