Description
The ‘Cal-Style’ influence originated from the streets of Los Angeles in the late 1970s. Typically, it was an all-original VW, which was lowered and had all the chrome trim, bumpers, and unique accessories.
The exterior of this 1970 VW Beetle is presented in excellent condition overall having been previously restored. The light blue paintwork is also presented very well and suits the nature of this car. The chrome work, roof-rack, visor and badges which complete the outside appearance are also in excellent condition, and really add to the ‘Cali-Style’. The 15-inch white alloy wheels are tucked nicely into the wheel arches, with all four tyres retaining a decent amount of tread.
Exploring the interior, the cream and grey leather is in very good condition both on the front and rear seats. The door cards, carpets and body colour dash area continue this theme. The original white steering wheel and VW embroidered cushions complete the interior aesthetic.
Under the bonnet is a tuned 1645cc air-cooled flat four engine which is coupled to a four-speed manual gearbox. The vendor reports the engine runs perfectly and has been well maintained.
This 1970 VW Beetle ‘Cal-Style’ is a tastefully modified example of the iconic classic. Presented in excellent condition overall, it would make a stylish weekend cruiser or a perfect addition to any collection of classics.
