The VW Beetle is a true icon of 20th Century motoring. It’s the longest-running and most manufactured car of a single design platform in the world with over 21 million cars produced between 1938 and 2003.
The exterior of this 1979 VW Beetle is presented in excellent condition and incredibly solid having been professionally restored in 2019. The relevant paperwork which accompanies the car details all of the work which was carried out and the thousands of pounds spent on its restoration.
The white paintwork enhances the classic nature of this car and has been completed to a very high standard. The chrome work and badging which complete the outside appearance are also in excellent condition. The 15-inch steel wheels are painted grey with chrome centre hub caps and retains period style tyres.
The black canvas hood is like new and it can be quickly and easily retracted providing the full open-air experience, especially when combined with the infamous air cooled engine.
Exploring the interior which has also been fully refurbished, the black leather with red stitching is in excellent condition both on the front and rear seats. The door cards, carpets and matching leather dash area continue this theme.
Under the bonnet is a 1600cc air-cooled flat four engine which is coupled to a four-speed manual gearbox. Mechanically this Beetle has been very well maintained with the last full service being completed in month year.
