Description
The Bentley Turbo R represents the pinnacle of British luxury and performance from an era when Bentley was redefining itself. Launched in 1985 and developed throughout its production run, the Turbo R (“R” for “roadholding”) was a high-performance evolution of the Mulsanne Turbo, with significant upgrades to suspension, handling, and styling.
By the end of production in 1997, the Turbo R had been refined into one of the most prestigious and capable saloon cars of its time.
First registered in September 1995, this Turbo R has covered 67,971 miles from new.
The bodywork remains in outstanding condition, and the Peacock Blue Metallic paint continues this theme — a reflection of the car’s dry-stored life. Its exterior features include the distinctive Bentley matrix grille, quad headlights, and 17-inch silver alloy wheels, which are also in excellent condition, with all four tyres retaining a significant amount of tread.
Inside, the cabin is a showcase of traditional British craftsmanship, featuring hand-stitched Connolly leather, deep-pile Wilton carpets, and extensive use of polished walnut veneer throughout.
The Sandstone hide mirrors the exterior’s elegance and remains in overall excellent condition — a true testament to the quality of materials and workmanship.
Despite being nearly 30 years old, this Bentley boasts a specification that includes fully electric and heated front seats, an electrically adjustable steering column, and central locking.
At the heart of this Bentley lies the legendary 6.75-litre turbocharged V8 engine, producing around 325 bhp, delivering power with quiet authority and surprising urgency for such a substantial car. Drive is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic gearbox, offering smooth and refined performance in line with the brand’s grand touring ethos.
This Bentley Turbo R is accompanied by an incredible history file, dating all the way back to its initial purchase. It includes a comprehensive collection of invoices and service records right up to the present day. The sale also includes a trickle charger, along with indoor and outdoor car covers.
A true icon of British motoring, the 1995 Bentley Turbo R combines classic craftsmanship with commanding performance. Beautifully built and effortlessly capable, the Turbo R remains a rare and rewarding modern classic. Offered here in excellent condition, it is a car that is increasingly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts alike.
