The Mk3 Golf VR6 was introduced in the early 1990s and quickly established itself as one of the defining hot hatches of the era. Its narrow-angle 2.8-litre V6 engine delivered smooth, effortless performance combined with a distinctive exhaust note. Today, the VR6 has become a highly regarded modern classic, with good examples becoming increasingly difficult to find.
This 1995 example is a desirable Highline specification, featuring five doors, full leather upholstery, air conditioning and a factory sunroof. Supplied new in Jersey, the car has remained on the island throughout its life and has been garaged continuously under its current ownership since 2018.
The exterior is currently finished in a matt black wrap, beneath which sits the original metallic black paintwork. The panels appear to be in good order overall, although the wrap limits a full assessment of the underlying paintwork. The owner reports that the car starts on the button and runs and drives very well, with all systems functioning as expected.
