First registered in June 2000, this Defender has been in Jersey since 2017 and covered 148,961 miles.
The solid blue paintwork is presented in good overall condition. There are some small dents on the upper edge of both doors and a scratch through its 25 years of general use. The underneath of the car remains solid and clean. The exterior appearance has been completed with upgraded LED headlights and tinted rear windows.
The 16-inch black steel wheels are all in great shape with no damage and perfectly fill the black wheel arches. All 4 Trail-Terrsain tyres retain a significant amount of tread.
Moving inside, the front seats have been replaced with bucket style leather equivalents, both of which are in excellent condition. The steering wheel has also been replaced with a Moutney classic. The rear compartment features 2 fold-down benches providing additional seating for passengers. There are matching Land Rover rubber over matts in both the front and rear.
Under the bonnet is a 2.5-litre TD5 engine which drives all four wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox. Mechanically, this Defender benefits from having had the engine replaced in 2020 and was most recently serviced in February of this year in preparation of sale. The vendor confirms there are no electrical or mechanical faults.
As far as 4x4s go, the rugged charm of the Land Rover Defender is hard to beat. It’s an iconic workhorse that makes ease of towing horseboxes, tackling tough terrain, or equally accommodating all the family and the dog for weekend walks.
