Description
First registered in August 2003, this E46-generation BMW M3 was brought to Jersey in 2017, where it underwent an extensive build to become a track-focused performance machine.
Under the bonnet lies a 3.2-litre straight-six engine fitted with a potent VF Engineering V1 supercharger, recently serviced with upgraded ceramic bearings to ensure peak performance and reliability. Complemented by a charge-cooled system and methanol injection with a dash-mounted indicator, the engine delivers over 500bhp and sharp responsiveness. The drivetrain is further enhanced with a lightweight M5 crank pulley, insane uprated driveshafts, and a CAE short shifter for crisp, precise gear changes.
The braking system has also been significantly upgraded, with 6-pot AP Racing calipers and floating discs at the front. Notably, these brakes haven’t yet seen track use, ensuring excellent condition and longevity.
The grey metallic paintwork presents well overall, particularly for a car of this age that’s been built for high-performance driving. Numerous upgrades hint at its capability, including a vented lightweight bonnet, carbon fibre front splitter, and rear diffuser. The only significant blemish of note is some minor rust on the driver’s side rear wheel arch.
Completing the exterior are dark grey forged Rays Engineering Volk Racing TE37 wheels, all in very good condition. The Federal RSR tyres have seen minimal use and retain a significant amount of tread.
Inside, the interior has been purposefully stripped for weight reduction, featuring OMP bucket seats, a matching OMP race steering wheel. The rear seats have been removed, and a fire extinguisher is installed, underlining its track-focused setup. The original interior is included and can be refitted by the new owner if desired.
Built with no compromise on performance and benefiting from significant investment, this M3 E46 is a serious driver’s machine. It presents a rare opportunity to acquire a truly focused and well-sorted example of a modern performance icon.
