Description
The Aston Martin Vantage AMR was released as a track-focused variant of the regular Vantage, replacing that model’s ZF eight-speed automatic gearbox with a Graziano-designed dog-leg seven-speed manual gearbox. Just 200 examples were produced worldwide, all featuring forged 20-inch wheels, a sports exhaust with quad tailpipes, and lightweight racing seats.
This particular car is one of those 200 examples and was first registered in February 2020, arriving in Jersey in December 2021 where it has remained since.
Presented in striking Sabiro Blue metallic, the exterior paintwork is in excellent condition and exhibits impressive depth and gloss in direct sunlight. The car’s racing pedigree is emphasised by extensive carbon-fibre detailing, including side strakes, cooling vents, and additional elements across the front, rear, and bonnet, all contributing to both aesthetics and weight reduction. The matte-grey 20-inch alloy wheels complete the look, with only a minor scuff noted on one rear wheel. Behind them sit bright yellow brake calipers paired with high-performance ceramic brake discs.
The interior is equally impressive, trimmed in a combination of blue leather and Alcantara, complemented by carbon-fibre inlays. The electrically adjustable, heated, and ventilated seats remain in excellent condition with minimal wear and feature ‘AMR’ embroidery. Equipment includes front and rear parking sensors with cameras, cruise control, climate control, and an infotainment system with satellite navigation.
Under the bonnet lies a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 engine producing 510bhp, delivered to the rear wheels through the engaging seven-speed manual dog-leg gearbox. This setup enables a 0–60mph time of under 4 seconds and a top speed of approximately 200mph, delivering an exhilarating yet refined driving experience.
This example has covered just 17,250 miles and has been recently serviced by Van Mossel Jacksons, ensuring it is ready for its next owner. The car is presented in excellent overall condition, with only a very minor cosmetic blemish—a small scratch approximately 2 inches wide on the rear boot.
This Aston Martin Vantage AMR V8 ‘Hero’ (one of just 200 produced) is a superb example of a truly driver-focused, track-inspired machine. As part of the final generation of manual Aston Martins, and with the marque now having moved away from manual production, it represents a rare opportunity to acquire a highly engaging and collectible modern future classic. Equally at home as a thrilling weekend car, long-distance tourer, or standout addition to any collection.
