Description
First registered in August 2014, this Aston Martin V8 Vantage is a smart example of the performance coupe with a desirable factory specification. Under the bonnet is a 420bhp 4.7-litre naturally aspirated V8, driven through the desirable six-speed manual gearbox. It’s covered just 3,985 miles during the tenure of its one owner.
The V8 Vantage was the first car to use Aston Martin’s second-generation VH chassis architecture, featuring lightweight materials throughout much of the structure and body. The 4.7-litre car was upgraded from 2012, featuring sharper steering and the more powerful brakes from the Vantage S model, as well as wider wheels and tyres. The exterior was also enhanced with aerodynamic features similar to the V12 Vantage, including a full-width front splitter, wider sills, a rear diffuser, and a more pronounced ‘ducktail’ boot spoiler.
The bodywork is presented in very good overall condition. There is some bubbling in the Stratus White paint work around the passenger door handle and wing mirror struts – shown in the gallery – which is common of this era of the Vantage. The 19-inch V-spoke alloy wheels are in very good condition with all 4-tyres retaining a decent amount of tread.
Stepping inside the cabin, fully electric seats are upholstered in full-grain black leather with white contrasting stitching throughout; they are in very good condition and reflective of the low mileage. The door cards, centre console and surrounding switchgear are also in excellent order, with only a small crack in the leather on the dashboard the only blemish of any significance.
Factory-fitted equipment includes heated front seats, a heated rear screen, and power folding and heated door mirrors. There is also a pop-up media screen with satellite navigation, Bluetooth, tyre pressure monitoring and front and rear parking sensors.
This Aston Martin V8 Vantage is a sophisticated example of one of the marque’s most beautiful coupes. Having covered just 3,985 miles during the tenure of its single owner, it provides an enthralling driving experience every time you get behind the wheel courtesy of its mighty V8 and manual gearbox.
