Description
The CT35S was one of two models used to relaunch the Clews Competition Machines (CCM) business after it was repurchased by its founder Alan Clews in 2005.
Being a small British manufacturer based in Bolton, CCM have always aspired to deliver greater attention to detail for the bikes that roll off their production line, and the CT35S is no exception. With only 120 bikes approved to be made, this excellent example is number 10.
It’s powered by an immaculately clean 398cc Suzuki single cylinder engine which produces approximately 45 bhp and delivers a distinctive sound from its stainless-steel exhaust system. It’s covered only 6,602 miles from new.
The bold styling adds to the character this bike exhibits. A beautiful polished aluminium fuel tank which carries the CCM logo on either side is in excellent condition and acts as the main focal point; the black rear panels which are presented equally well carry the number ‘7’ as a nod to the bike’s racing inspiration. The black leather seat shows no sign of wear.
The instrumentation is taken care of by an Acumen digital dash. The dash also houses a limited-edition number plate across the bottom and the signature of Alan Clews engraved along the top. All electrical elements are in perfect working order.
Excellent mechanical health has always been maintained, and despite not being used frequently it stands ready to go at the push of a button. Fitted with 17” wheels, both the front and rear tyres still offer a significant amount of tread.
This CT35S is a fantastic example of the very limited-edition flat track inspired bike. Presented in excellent condition, it’s an opportunity to own one of CCMs original retro bikes that carries deserved applause from the bike world for the riding enjoyment it delivers.
