Description
An original acrylic painting by British artist D. L. Minikin, executed circa 2000. The composition is conceived as a homage to the industrial urban scenes associated with L. S. Lowry, featuring stylised figures and architectural forms rendered in a naïve, expressive manner.
The work reflects the Northern industrial aesthetic, with simplified figures and structured building arrangements characteristic of that tradition, while maintaining the artist’s individual style. Signed in the lower right corner and presented in a substantial dark wooden frame that complements the subject matter.
A smaller companion work by the same artist is also listed separately.
The paint surface appears stable and well preserved. There is a very small scuff to the right-hand side of the frame consistent with light handling. No visible repairs noted. Please refer to photographs as they form part of the description.
Location: Jersey, Channel Islands
