Description
An original acrylic painting by British artist D. L. Minikin, executed circa 2000. The composition depicts a terrace housing and industrial streetscape rendered in a naïve, expressive manner, reflecting the Northern industrial aesthetic associated with L. S. Lowry.
The simplified figures and structured architectural forms give the work strong period character while maintaining the artist’s individual style. Signed in the lower right corner and presented in a dark wooden frame which complements the industrial subject matter.
A larger companion work by the same artist is also listed separately.
The paint surface appears very stable and well preserved. There is a very small nick/scratch to the right-hand side of the frame consistent with light handling. No visible repairs noted. Please refer to photographs as they form part of the description.
Location: Jersey, Channel Islands
