First registered in February 2010, this beautiful grand tourer Mercedes SL500 has been a local Jersey car from new. During its two-owner tenure it’s covered just over 30,000 miles. It’s powered by a naturally aspirated 5.5 litre V8, which delivers 383bhp and 391lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a seven-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shift.
The bodywork is in excellent condition and demonstrates the care this car has received. The Iridium silver paintwork follows this theme, with the only blemishes to note being two very small scuffs on the centre of the front and rear bumpers. The 18-inch AMG alloy wheels have been refurbished and look fantastic and 4 new tyres were also fitted in September last year.
Moving inside, the fully electric grey leather seats are both in excellent condition with only some very light age-related wear to the driver’s seat. Both seats slide forward at the push of a button to reveal two useful storage compartments. The factory fitted equipment including satellite navigation and phone connectivity are all fully operational.
The electric folding roof is in perfect working order and promptly stows away into the boot to allow for a full open-air experience. This SL500 also has Airscarf functionality which allows you to have the roof down even in colder conditions whilst keeping nice and warm inside!
Mechanically this Mercedes has been very well maintained with a complete annual service history from 2011 until it’s last service in January of this year. This service included both engine and gearbox oil and filter change.
